An LG utility gives me direct brightness, color and other control features for the monitor. I also purchased a USB-c to Display Port Cable to connect the Mac mini to the monitor. I was just looking for a solution to my current problem. I have a Mac mini 2018 connected to an LG 24UD58-B monitor (4K). The Club3D adapter might be the way to go, once it's available. Its currently out of stock but i bought it for 21 HDMI 4k latest standard from amazon basics 4k tv with hdmi port that supports 60 Hz, this picture below is from LG UH6100 Frys in San Jose, CA. The Bytecc is powered, so I'm guessing this is why I'm getting visual on the Seiki. Anker USB-C to HDMI Adapter, Supports 4K/60Hz, for The New Macbook/Chromebook Pixel From Amazon. Sometimes, I have to do this a few times to get visual on the Seiki, which is frustrating.
This is where I disconnect the power and DP cable from the Bytecc and reconnect them and I'll get visual on the Seiki. There are times when I boot up the Mac, the LG has visual, but the Seiki doesn't. The problem is that it works 70% of the time. įrom the Bytecc Out is another 15 foot cable going to the Seiki's DisplayPort port. This is connected from the Mac's (TB Bus 1) via a Mini DisplayPort adapter to a 15 foot DisplayPort cable which is connected to a (Bytecc 1x2 DisplayPort Splitter).
My second monitor is the Seiki Pro 40" (SM40UNP) 4K Monitor. This is connected via a Mini DisplayPort adapter to DP to the Monitors DP port. Mac Pro (TB Bus 0) to LG 34" UltraWide (34UC97-S). I appreciate it.Ĭurrently, this is my set-up and it does work. IIIaass and John, thank you for your input.
